What FilingOak Does for $249

An EIN application is more than typing a business name into a form.

FilingOak handles the application work around the information you provide.

01

EIN Intake

FounderVault collects the legitimate information needed for the application, including the business and responsible-party facts applicable to your situation.

02

SS-4 Preparation

I prepare Form SS-4 using the information provided for your business and EIN application.

03

Your Review

The prepared SS-4 is returned through FounderVault so you can inspect the information before authorizing it.

04

Your Signature

Where your personal signature or authorization is required, you provide it yourself.

FounderVault includes a built-in signing path so you can sign the prepared document using the device you’re already on.

Prefer signing outside FounderVault?

You can download the prepared document, sign it yourself through your preferred legitimate method and upload the signed version back.

You are not locked into FilingOak’s built-in signature interface.

05

FilingOak Handles the Work From There

Once the required signed application is returned, I handle FilingOak’s authorized side of the submission process and applicable permitted IRS follow-up.

If the IRS genuinely requires information, authorization or action that has to come from you, FilingOak tells you what is needed.

Otherwise, the EIN application work stays here.

Outside the United States?

Your EIN Application Still Uses Your Real Information.

APPLICATION FACTS
Responsible partyThe real responsible party
Business locationWhere the business actually operates
CorrespondenceMailing information stays mailing information

FilingOak EIN Application Service is available to U.S. and non-U.S. founders.

Living outside the United States does not create a reason to invent a U.S. responsible party, owner or principal business location.

Your responsible party remains the real responsible party.

Your actual business location remains the actual business location.

And information used for correspondence does not become a fictional place where your business operates.

FilingOak prepares the SS-4 around the legitimate facts of the business and the responsible party instead of changing those facts to make the application look more domestic than it is.

You do not need FilingOak to pretend you are somewhere you are not.

You need the application handled correctly around where you actually are.

A Mailing Address Is Not a Fictional Business Location.

Form SS-4 can involve more than one kind of address because those addresses can serve different purposes.

A mailing address used for correspondence does not automatically become the company’s principal business location.

FilingOak preserves that distinction.

Where an appropriate FilingOak mailing address is used for correspondence within FilingOak’s authorized role, it is treated as mailing information.

It is not used as an excuse to manufacture a U.S. principal business location for a company that does not genuinely have one.

The same principle applies to the responsible party.

FilingOak does not replace the real responsible party with someone more convenient simply to make the application fit.

Real business. Real responsible party. Real application facts.

RESPONSIBLE PARTYYOUR DEVICE OR YOUR METHOD

FounderVault is FilingOak’s private customer workspace, and you can enter before purchasing EIN Application Service.

Once FilingOak prepares your SS-4, the document can return to your case for review and the signature that genuinely has to come from you.

You can use FounderVault’s built-in signing experience from the device you’re already using.

Or don’t.

If you would rather sign the prepared SS-4 outside FounderVault, you can download it, sign it yourself and upload the signed document back.

The point of FounderVault is to make the work easier to complete.

It is not to trap you inside one way of completing it.

Once your required signature is returned, the work comes back to FilingOak.

FounderVault can then keep the EIN case, customer-visible progress and applicable released documents connected to the business they belong to.

Your Signature Is Yours.

The EIN Work Comes Back to Me.

Paying FilingOak to handle an EIN application does not transfer a signature or authorization that legally belongs to you.

When FilingOak acts within the applicable third-party-designee role, that role does not turn me into the applicant or give me permission to sign your required authorization for you.

So the division is simple.

FILINGOAKI prepare it.
YOUYou review and sign where your authorization is required.
FILINGOAKI take FilingOak’s work back from there.

You are not paying FilingOak $249 so that I can prepare an SS-4 and then leave you to figure out the rest of the process yourself.

If something genuinely has to come from you, FilingOak asks for it.

If it is FilingOak’s authorized operational work, it comes back to me.

FilingOak Doesn’t Sell the IRS’s Clock.

The IRS controls when the IRS processes an EIN application.

FilingOak doesn’t.

I can control how FilingOak prepares the application, handles its authorized work and responds when something on FilingOak’s side needs attention.

I cannot truthfully turn an IRS processing estimate into a guaranteed date when your EIN will be assigned.

So FilingOak does not sell you an “EIN in four days” promise or manufacture another delivery deadline around a government process it does not control.

The promise is narrower and stronger:

FilingOak handles FilingOak’s side of the EIN application. The IRS controls the IRS’s side.

FILINGOAK CONTROLSPreparation, authorized handling and response.
THE IRS CONTROLSProcessing, decisions and assignment.

What If the IRS Needs Something Else?

Not every EIN application follows an identical path.

Sometimes the IRS may require clarification, additional information or an action that genuinely has to come from the applicant.

When that happens, FilingOak tells you what is needed.

You provide the information, review, signature or authorization that genuinely belongs to you.

FilingOak handles the work that belongs to FilingOak within its authorized role.

The objective is not to accept your $249, complete the easiest part of the application and then turn ordinary operational complexity back into your problem.

If FilingOak can handle it within FilingOak’s authorized role, it stays with FilingOak.

FilingOak’s EIN Authority Has an Endpoint.

AUTHORIZED PURPOSE BEGINS

FilingOak’s role in your EIN application does not create permanent authority over your company’s IRS affairs.

Any third-party-designee authority used for the EIN application exists for its applicable purpose.

When that authority ends, it ends.

That does not mean your FilingOak workspace has to disappear with it.

Applicable EIN-related records released through the service can remain connected to your company inside FounderVault even after FilingOak’s EIN-specific authorized role has reached its endpoint.

The authority has a boundary. Your records still need a home.

AUTHORITY ENDS / RECORDS REMAIN
